Rebecca D. Elaissen

Chief Nursing Officer

Chief Nursing Officer Rebecca D. Elaissen brings more than 20 years of experience in nursing administration to Physicians Regional Healthcare System.  She currently serves as the chief nursing officer for Physicians Regional Medical Center-Collier Boulevard.  

Ms. Elaissen began her nursing career as a staff nurse at Regional Medical Center-Bayonet Point in Hudson, Florida, where she then served in several director roles.  She also served as the administrative director of the Heart & Vascular Institute at Northside Heart & Vascular Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, and chief nursing officer at Summit Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Englewood Community Hospital in Englewood, Florida.  Prior to joining Physicians Regional Healthcare System, she worked as the director of nursing in the neurosciences department at Lee Memorial Hospital.    

Ms. Elaissen has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Tampa, Florida, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Southern University in Collegedale, Tennessee, and an Associate Degree in Nursing from St. Petersburg Community College in Tampa, Florida.       

She is a member of the American Nurses Association and American Organization of Nurse Executives, and has received several awards and recognition during her career, including Green Belt Six Sigma Training, Frist Humanitarian, Paul Harris Fellow and Nursing Clinical Excellence.
